Bridge Loop Terms of Use

Last updated: 21/10/2026. Holder: Eduardo Figueiredo dos Santos, "we". Contact: suporte@bridgeloop.app.

By installing or using Bridge Loop (the "app", made of the Android app and the Mac app) you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app. We wrote them in plain language on purpose.

1. What Bridge Loop is

Bridge Loop connects your Android phone to your Mac, over your local network, Bluetooth or a cable, to mirror the screen, control the phone with the Mac's mouse and keyboard, see the phone's notifications on the Mac, copy and paste between the two, and send files. It works without an account and without the cloud: content goes straight between your two devices, encrypted. Requirements: macOS 13 or newer and Android 10 or newer.

2. License to use

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license, revocable only in the cases set out here, to install and use the official app on one Mac and one Android phone paired with each other, for your own use, according to your purchase or trial. You may use the apps on other devices of yours only if your purchase or plan allows it, as shown on the purchase screen. This license covers the official app we distribute. The source code, when published, is licensed separately under the Apache 2.0 license; it does not give any right to use the name, logo or icon (item 9).

3. 15-day free trial

  • You may try the app for 15 calendar days, counted from the first launch of the Mac app, with all features and no card required.
  • After the 15 days, the paid features stop until you activate a license. Your data and pairings stay on your device.
  • The trial start date, and the latest date the Mac has seen (to notice if the clock was set back), are stored only on your Mac. If the Mac’s date goes back by more than a day, the paid features pause until you fix it. Reinstalling the app does not guarantee a new trial; do not try to get around the period (item 7).
  • A promotional purchase price may apply during the trial and is shown on the purchase screen. The price in effect when you pay applies.

4. Price, payment and taxes

The price, currency and taxes are shown on the purchase screen before you pay. Payment is handled by the store where you bought (Google Play or, if it is ever there, Apple). If we ever also sell directly on our website, the payment provider will be named on this page beforehand. We do not see or store your card details. Store purchases are also subject to each store's terms and billing policy.

5. Paying on one side unlocks the other

Your license is a license key signed by us, which you paste into "Activate license" in the Mac app. It unlocks the pair: the paired Mac and phone exchange the key over the encrypted channel between them, and the phone keeps a copy only on the device itself (outside backups) so it also works with a new Mac. The key carries only an order code and, at most, the beginning of your e-mail (for example, ed*@gmail.com), never the full e-mail, and does not identify you beyond that. The app checks the key without internet** when it opens. If the key is revoked (item 6) or, for keys with an expiry date, expires, the paid features are locked again. When store sales exist, the store’s own proof of purchase will follow the same path.

6. Refunds: 15 days, no questions asked

  • You can ask for a full refund within 15 calendar days of the purchase, without giving a reason, even if you have already used the app and the trial period.
  • Purchases made directly with us (for example, a license key sent by e-mail): ask at suporte@bridgeloop.app with the e-mail used for the purchase, or use the Request a refund button in the app, which opens the support e-mail already filled in with your license code (and, once the website has a refund page, through it); we refund through the same payment method within 10 business days of the request.
  • Purchases on Google Play: ask through Play or at suporte@bridgeloop.app, or with the Ask for a refund button in the app; we refund through the Play Console within 15 days of purchase, and the money goes back through the payment method used on Play.
  • Purchases on Apple: Apple processes refunds and decides on its own; follow their "Report a Problem" procedure. In those cases the 15-day period applies only if Apple accepts the request.
  • After a refund, the license is revoked and the paid features are locked again. To do that, the license code is added to a list of revoked licenses signed by us, which ships inside the app and is passed between the paired Mac and phone. The app does not check the internet for this today; so the revocation takes effect when you update the app (or when the other device of the pair tells it), not instantly. This does not limit any right your local law gives you (in Brazil, the 7-day right of withdrawal under article 49 of the Consumer Defense Code, and the warranty against defects; in the EU and UK, withdrawal rights for digital content).

7. How you may use the app

You agree to:

  • use the app only on devices that are yours or with the owner's authorization;
  • not use the app to spy on or control other people's devices, access data without permission, bypass security controls or break the law;
  • not circumvent or try to bypass the trial, the proof of purchase or the license check of the official app (this does not prohibit building and using the source code under the Apache 2.0 license, nor limit rights the law gives you);
  • not resell, rent or redistribute the official app as if it were yours.

8. Sensitive permissions (Accessibility, notifications, screen capture)

To work, the Android app asks for powerful permissions. Before each one, the app shows a screen saying what it accesses, why, and where it goes (nothing leaves your local network, Bluetooth or cable). You decide whether to grant it and can revoke it at any time in Android settings. The Accessibility Service only acts when you control the phone from the Mac. You are responsible for what you do with it, and you must use the app only on your own devices.

9. Intellectual property and trademark

The official app, the name Bridge Loop, the logo and the icon belong to the holder. The name, logo and icon are not licensed by Apache 2.0 (see TRADEMARKS.md): you may build and modify the code but, if you redistribute modified versions, use another name and icon and do not suggest they are the official product. Third-party components keep their own licenses (see THIRD_PARTY.md).

10. Privacy

Data handling is described in the Privacy Policy, which is part of these terms. In short: the app does not collect your data, has no account, ads or usage analytics, and nothing goes through our servers.

11. Updates, changes and end of service

We may update the app and fix flaws, including security ones. Important changes that affect what you use will be announced in the app. The app works through a direct connection between your devices and does not depend on a server of ours to work; even if we discontinue it, the versions you already installed keep working as long as the operating system allows. If we discontinue the product, we will give reasonable notice and, if you bought less than 12 months ago, offer a pro-rata refund.

12. No special warranties and limits of liability

  • The app is provided "as is", to the extent permitted by law. The connection protocol is new and has not yet had an independent security audit; do not use the app to protect data you cannot afford to expose, and keep your Mac and phone up to date.
  • Features that depend on third parties (Android or macOS version, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi networks, store rules) may change or stop working as those systems evolve; we will make reasonable efforts to keep up.
  • To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect damages, lost profits, loss of data or use, or for damage caused by misuse, by devices that are not yours, or by the failure of other programs. Our total liability, for any cause, is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the previous 12 months.
  • Nothing here excludes or limits liability that the law does not allow to be excluded (for example, for willful misconduct or gross negligence, or consumer rights that cannot be waived by contract).

13. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or revoke the license for use that breaks item 7, notifying you and, for a regular purchase, refunding the pro-rata amount where the law requires it.

14. Governing law and venue

These terms are governed by Brazilian law. If you are a consumer in Brazil, the venue is that of your home. If you live outside Brazil, the consumer protection laws of your country that cannot be waived by contract also apply, and you may use the courts of your country where the law gives you that right. Before any legal action, please contact support: we want to solve it.

15. Changes to these terms

We may change these terms. If a change is significant, we will tell you in the app or through the app or our website before it takes effect. The date at the top shows the last update. If you disagree, stop using the app and ask for a refund if you are within the item 6 period.

16. Language

These terms exist in Brazilian Portuguese and English. If they differ, the Portuguese version prevails; the English one is a convenience translation.
